St Augustine Sod

One of our customers had their pool covered up and we came in and leveled the yard and laid St. Augustine Sod for them. Pretty dramatic change of appearance.

Cleanup

This is a small clean up job we did this past week. Pulled weeds from flowerbeds, planted a couple of flats of color, trimmed hedges and laid some sod. The customer wanted to recycle the mulch from a couple of flowerbeds we removed for them in their remaining beds. Turned their pool back into an area you want to hang out around.

Flagstone Patio and Fire Pit

Here is a job where the customer was considering laying pea gravel and a small fire pit and got scared off by another companies price. Came in and quoted them a Oklahoma Flagstone Patio and Pavestone firepit. Considerably more appealing and actually came in lower than the other company offering pea gravel. Love doing jobs like this as they make a HUGE impact on someone’s back yard and their enjoyment.

Flower bed cleanup and replant

This is a flowerbed for one our new customers we picked up this spring. Been a GREAT spring! We removed some bushes, pulled the weeds, laid weedguard, planted pink and red Begonias and mulched beds. Turned out great! I’ll post some more pics once the flowers really come in.

Yard Cleanup

We still have some work left to do but it’s a HUGE improvement. We have a dead bush to remove and some other bushes we are removing. We are also going to replant the flowerbeds for them. Should look really nice in a few weeks.

Here are a few tips on how to reduce them in your lawn.

Weeds can be controlled much better before you plant your grass… but for existing lawns a couple of things can help to reduce weed problems.

Correct mowing… The right height for your grass helps to shade weeds out of existence.
Mowing frequency…. By mowing both often and regular, you remove the flowing seed parts of many weeds thus making it harder for them to seed their next crop.
Soils play a factor in weed control - Dry, wet and compacted soils all encourage weed growth because your grass usually struggles under these conditions. A weakened turf grass allows for the weeds to grow.
Soil fertility is also a factor. Weeds love poor, under-fertilized soils. While Turfgrasses require a certain amount of nutrients for best growth.
Practicing good lawn maintenance practices is the best weed control policy you can undertake.

Flower bed we cleared out and reshaped the remaining sections. Owner did not want new sod laid. We will come back in the spring and plant flowers in the beds.

Small Bed cleanup job we did. We will go back in the spring and take up the rocks and put in a new wall. We will also replant flowers once the cold weather is over.
